AFROCAN FESTIVAL 2026 is a vibrant cultural collision of dance, sound, and street movement culture in the heart of Lagos, Nigeria.
This year’s festival will feature intensive dance classes, workshops, performances, and cultural exchanges centered around the iconic street dance styles of Konto, Shaku Shaku, and Mara.

Our theme for this year is KIZ’UTÉ and we shall be exploring the intricate relationship between Konto,Shaku Shaku and Mara while uncovering their origins, evolution, cultural significance, and impact on contemporary urban dance culture. 
Through classes, discussions, performances, and community engagement, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the stories, people, and environments that shaped these powerful dance forms.We invite dancers, movement artists, cultural practitioners, researchers, Festival Programmers and enthusiasts from around the world to come witness Nigerian street culture at its finest.Please complete this application form carefully and accurately.
